AC/DC were formed in Sydney in 1973 by brothers Malcolm and Angus Young, and remain the blueprint for hard rock: two guitars, one riff, no frills.
"Back in Black" (1980), written after the death of singer Bon Scott, has sold well over 50 million copies and ranks among the best-selling albums of all time. Angus Young has been wearing his schoolboy uniform on stage for more than five decades; Brian Johnson has been the singer since "Back in Black". Songs like "Highway to Hell", "Thunderstruck" and "T.N.T." play in every stadium on earth.
