Aaron Lewis Scores No. 1 With „Give My Country Back"

Aaron Lewis, for more than two decades the voice of post-grunge band Staind, has taken his solo album "Give My Country Back" to the top of the charts. The record came out on 17 July 2026 and is his sixth country album.

"Give My Country Back" entered the US country albums chart at number one. On it, Lewis ties his rock roots to classic country — a path he has followed alongside Staind for around 15 years.

In a recent interview, Lewis was critical of the use of backing tracks at live shows. Many artists lean so heavily on pre-recorded elements, he said, that audiences would barely notice if the band stopped playing — pointing to Staind as a counter-example.
