Edguy Return in 2027 – Farewell Fulda Show and Metalfest Slot Confirmed

Edguy are back. Frontman Tobias Sammet announced the power metal band's return on 17 June 2026 during an Avantasia concert on Fulda's cathedral square – the very spot where Edguy will play their big hometown show on 25 June 2027.

The band frames the comeback as a farewell after more than three decades. The Fulda concert, with a capacity of around 9,000, reportedly sold out quickly. Edguy have since also been confirmed for Metalfest Open Air in Pilsen, Czech Republic, running from 11 to 13 June 2027.

Edguy had been largely dormant since 2017 while Sammet focused on his Avantasia project. The band's best-known albums include „Mandrake“ and „Hellfire Club“.
