Everything Comes To An End — Frank Ferrer Speaks for the First Time About Leaving Guns N' Roses
After 19 years behind the kit for Guns N' Roses, Frank Ferrer stepped away in 2025. In his first interview since the exit he looks back with gratitude on his time with Axl Rose.

Frank Ferrer spent 19 years as the drummer of Guns N' Roses — longer than any other drummer in the band's history. In March 2025 the hard rockers announced his departure, described as „amicable"; Isaac Carpenter stepped in. Now Ferrer has spoken at length about the split for the first time, to Rolling Stone.
Ferrer, who first joined as a stand-in in 2006 and played on „Chinese Democracy" among others, looks back with striking gratitude. He firmly pushes back on the widespread image of Axl Rose as a difficult character — to him, the singer is the complete opposite. At the same time, Ferrer admits his disappointment that this chapter came to an end.
Today the drummer is busy with two new bands, The Slax and One Night Only. Guns N' Roses, meanwhile, tour on with Carpenter.
