Baltimore death metal veterans Misery Index have released „Feral Future“, their first new single in four years, backed by a video. The song is a first taste of their eighth studio album.
Earlier in 2026, Misery Index announced their return to Season of Mist. „Feral Future“ tackles environmental themes while keeping the band's familiar mix of blast beats, heavy riffs and socially critical lyrics.
Led by bassist and vocalist Jason Netherton, the band has stood at the forefront of extreme metal for 25 years, counting current and former members of Dying Fetus and Pig Destroyer in its ranks. The group is also preparing a headline tour of Europe and the UK.
