Rolling Stones – Keith Richards on the New Album „Foreign Tongues"
The Rolling Stones have released „Foreign Tongues", their 25th studio album. Keith Richards calls it a continuation of „Hackney Diamonds". Andrew Watt produced it.
The Rolling Stones have doubled down. „Foreign Tongues", the band's 25th studio album, came out on 10 July 2026 – less than two years after „Hackney Diamonds". Mick Jagger, now 82, is still on vocals, with Keith Richards on guitar.
For Richards, the record picks up right where its predecessor left off. „In a way, I feel like ‚Foreign Tongues' is a continuation of ‚Hackney Diamonds'," he said in an interview with Billboard magazine. Andrew Watt, who produced the previous album, was back behind the desk.
"Foreign Tongues" is the 25th studio album by The Rolling Stones, released on 10 July 2026. It was produced by Andrew Watt, who also helmed "Hackney Diamonds." Guests include Paul McCartney, Steve Winwood and Robert Smith, and one track features a recording by drummer Charlie Watts, who died in 2021.

The album features several guests, among them Paul McCartney, Steve Winwood and The Cure singer Robert Smith. One recording still features Charlie Watts, the band's drummer who died in 2021. The 14 songs were made over several years at studios in Los Angeles and London.
