Accept is a heavy metal band formed in Solingen in 1976 and, alongside the Scorpions, the most internationally influential German metal band.
With "Balls to the Wall" (1983), "Restless and Wild" (1982) and the speed metal big bang "Fast as a Shark", they made genre history and influenced virtually every thrash band that followed. Guitarist and co-founder Wolf Hoffmann remains the musical architect; American singer Mark Tornillo has fronted the band since 2009.
