Flotsam and Jetsam

Flotsam and Jetsam are an American thrash metal band from Phoenix, Arizona, formed in 1981. They are known in part as an early home of future Metallica bassist Jason Newsted, who played on the debut „Doomsday for the Deceiver" (1986). Singer Eric „A.K." Knutson has been the band's constant voice.

Across four decades the group has stayed true to melodic, technically accomplished thrash. Following a creative revival in the 2010s, Flotsam and Jetsam delivered a run of well-received albums and are today regarded as a dependable force in classic US thrash.
