Melissa Auf der Maur is a Canadian bassist, singer and photographer from Montreal. In the 1990s she played with Hole and later with The Smashing Pumpkins.
Her last solo album "Out Of Our Minds" appeared in 2010. She has since stepped back from music and co-runs Basilica Hudson, an arts centre in New York State.
