Stryper

Stryper is an American band formed in California in 1983 and widely regarded as a pioneer of Christian metal. Known for their striking yellow-and-black stage attire and anthemic, hook-laden melodies, the Californians became one of the genre's most commercially successful acts of the 1980s.

The line-up of singer and guitarist Michael Sweet, drummer Robert Sweet, guitarist Oz Fox and bassist Perry Richardson blends classic heavy metal with four-part harmonies and Christian-themed lyrics.
