Carcass are touring without their regular drummer for now. For the upcoming European run, where the British band share stages with Kreator, Exodus and Nile, Waltteri Väyrynen takes over on drums. The Finn is best known as the drummer of Opeth.

The reason is a break by Daniel Wilding for personal reasons. Wilding said, in essence, that a difficult family situation meant he needed to be with his loved ones. He is expected to return for the following US tour.

Väyrynen is among extreme metal's most in-demand drummers and is used to stepping in at short notice. Carcass shaped melodic death metal with „Heartwork“ (1993) and have been a fixture of the scene again since „Surgical Steel“ (2013).

In September, the band also play four shows in Australia.
