Firtan Announce New Album „Helios" For October 2026
German black metal band Firtan release their album „Helios" on 2 October 2026. The first single „The Hierophant Way" features a guest from Ne Obliviscaris.
Firtan have announced their new album. „Helios" arrives on 2 October 2026 via AOP Records and follows 2024's „Ethos". It is the fifth studio record for the German atmospheric black metal band.
The rollout opens with the single „The Hierophant Way". The track features James Dorton, singer of Australian progressive band Ne Obliviscaris. Musically, Firtan tie melodic black metal to the weight of death metal, adding violin, synthesizers and sprawling textures.
"Helios" is the upcoming album by Firtan, out on 2 October 2026 via AOP Records. The lead single "The Hierophant Way" features a guest appearance by Ne Obliviscaris vocalist James Dorton. The record spans twelve tracks, including a cover of the Bathory classic "Man of Iron."
