Taake return with a new album and a tour. The Norwegian black metal project led by Hoest releases its ninth studio album „En Skog av Nidstang" on 31 July 2026 via Dark Essence Records. The record consists of four sprawling compositions.

To match, Taake head out across Europe in September 2026. The „En Skog av Nidstang" European Tour stops in Berlin, Ostrava, Bratislava, Graz, Bologna and Kortrijk, among others, with Austrian black/death metal act Impalement in support. Further Scandinavian shows are set for the summer.
The album was recorded and produced by Bjørnar Erevik Nilsen (Vulture Industries) and mastered by Øystein G. Brun (Borknagar). Since the late 1990s, Taake has been regarded as one of the most distinctive voices in Norwegian black metal.
