Loathe Release New Album „A Stranger to You"
Loathe are back with „A Stranger to You", their first album in six years, fusing metalcore, shoegaze and industrial noise.
Six years on from „I Let It In And It Took Everything", Loathe have finished their new record. „A Stranger to You" arrived on 17 July 2026 via SharpTone Records – fourteen tracks that swing between crushing metalcore and shimmering shoegaze.
The Liverpool band stick to their instincts: heavy riffs meet ambient washes, industrial beats and even an acoustic ballad („The Ladder"). Singer Kadeem France and guitarist Erik Bickerstaffe move between screams and falsetto, while Static Dress vocalist Olli Appleyard guests on „Block Of Flats".
Sonically the album still sits close to Deftones and Code Orange. UK magazine Kerrang! handed it a perfect score and called „A Stranger to You" one of the most original albums of the year. Closing track „No Stranger To You…" loops back to their 2020 breakthrough.
Loathe tour the United States through summer 2026, with shows in Chicago, Minneapolis, Boise and Tacoma among others.
