Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats Announce New Album „Shapes of Midnight“
Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats have announced their seventh album „Shapes of Midnight“ for September 18, 2026 and shared the title track – partly inspired by Edgar Allan Poe.

Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats are back with a new album. „Shapes of Midnight“ arrives on September 18, 2026, the seventh full-length from the British band led by mastermind Kevin Starrs. The announcement came with the title track streaming right away.
The album was recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London using vintage Neumann microphones and old EMI equipment. Parts of it draw on Edgar Allan Poe, a fitting match for the dark, melodic signature of the Cambridge group. „Shapes of Midnight“ follows 2024’s „Nell’Ora Blu“, the band’s score for an imaginary giallo film.
The title song distils everything Uncle Acid have stood for since „Blood Lust“ and „Mind Control“: fuzzed-out guitars, dragging riffs and hooks that swing between 60s psychedelia and horror aesthetics.
