Anthrax

Anthrax is an American thrash metal band formed in New York in 1981 and counted, alongside Metallica, Slayer and Megadeth, among the genre's "Big Four" — the only one of them from the East Coast.

With albums like "Among the Living" (1987) and "Persistence of Time" (1990) they shaped thrash, brought crossover and rap influences into the metal vocabulary early on, and earned six Grammy nominations. The line-up features guitarist and co-founder Scott Ian, drummer Charlie Benante, bassist Frank Bello, singer Joey Belladonna and guitarist Jonathan Donais.
