Anthrax Graphic Novel „NOT" — Illustrated Band History for 2027
Anthrax team up with Z2 Comics for „NOT", a 2027 illustrated oral history of the thrash legends, told firsthand by Scott Ian, Charlie Benante and the band.

Four decades of thrash metal on paper: Anthrax are turning their history into a graphic novel. Together with music-focused publisher Z2 Comics, the New Yorkers have announced „NOT: The Illustrated Oral History Of Anthrax" — a fully illustrated book tracing the band's four decades.
The source material comes from the musicians themselves. Guitarist Scott Ian, drummer Charlie Benante, bassist Frank Bello, singer Joey Belladonna and guitarist Jonathan Donais tell their stories firsthand — from the band's beginnings in early-1980s New York and its run as one of thrash's „Big Four" to the present day. It is their second project with Z2, following the graphic novel for the classic „Among The Living".
„NOT" is due in March 2027. Alongside several book editions, a picture-disc vinyl variant has been announced; the band and publisher have not yet confirmed an exact release day or the full package.
It is a busy year for Anthrax: September brings „Cursum Perficio", their first new studio album in ten years, while the thrashers are on the road as guests of Iron Maiden.
The twelfth studio album by the thrash legends and their first in ten years — recorded at Dave Grohl's Studio 606 and produced by Jay Ruston. The Latin title translates roughly as: my journey has come to an end.
